About

I'm Kelsey Grace - The Wedding Engineer!

I’m an engineer turned patent attorney with an enthusiasm for all things wedding!  I’m fueled by chai lattes, my husband’s support, and my children’s curiosity.

In the third grade, at an orthodontist visit, at the end when scheduling the next appointment, the receptionist told my mom a midday time, to which I popped up onto my tiptoes and boldly objected, “That is in the middle of math class– and I can’t miss math class!”  From then on I made my own appointments, and never missed any more math classes!

My sweetheart and I got married on a beautifully hot July day in Maryland in 2012.  My dreams of our wedding started in 2004 when we started dating while we were both in high school.  After 8 years of planning, the day was one to remember for sure!  When getting ready for the day I made a million decisions but only one was really met with great hesitation.  My dress.  I went to a beautiful shop in my hometown and selected a stunning gown WITH POCKETS!  When I told the seamstress I wanted to cut off the train she said no, immediately.  “We can bustle it, you won’t even know it is there.”  Nope, it had to go. See, I’m a dancer– from the Macarena to the Electric Slide to the Boot Scootin’ Boogie– I’m dancing and no train will stand in my way!  Fast forward to the first fitting, and again I stated I wanted to cut the train off, and again I was met with resistance.  “If you won’t do it, I’ll take it somewhere else that will.”  Off the train went!  Best decision I could’ve made!  My dress was perfect and my mom used the material from the unneeded train for a baptismal gown for my kids.

I have two beautiful babies, my daughter was born in May 2017 and my son was born in March 2019.  I always wanted to be a mother and motherhood is everything I wanted and more!  Looking through the eyes of a child changes the world and reminds you how happy and pure we all can be.

These are a few of my favorite things

Chai lattes, books, and lighthouses!
